Well worth the wait!

We are delighted to welcome new mummy (and mummy-to-be) to our blog - Claire. Every pregnancy is different and faces its own challenges and Claire has kindly agreed to talk about the pregnancy of her much wanted and long-awaited second child.

Hi! My name is Claire and I am 26 weeks pregnant with my second child. I’m due on the 21st May. My partner Wayne and I are very excited to welcome our new addition into the family. We have been together for thirteen years and have a 4 year old son called Jack. At my 20 week scan we found out we were expecting a little girl.

This pregnancy is very much wanted. We have been trying for this baby for two years and were overjoyed when I fell pregnant.

I am high risk in this pregnancy as I had a C-Section and a Postpartum Haemorrhage in my last pregnancy. Add high blood pressure to the mix and I now have a lot of upcoming appointments.

I’m finally allowing myself to buy items so I have a lot of purchasing to do in preparation for the birth. I also need to make a decision on whether to have a VBAC birth (Vaginal Birth After Caesarean) or an elective caesarean. I look forward to taking you with me on my journey into the third trimester.
