Slight change of plan

Updated: Mar 7, 2019

Sometimes life diverts us onto a slightly different route from our original plans, but here our lovely new mummy blogger Christine explains that to embrace the new journey opens up a wealth of excitement and new opportunities:

I found out I was pregnant the day before my 22nd birthday last summer and am now just a couple of weeks away from meeting my baby girl.

.

I am a full time undergraduate student studying a Geography & Management degree and have just finished my industrial placement at a management consultancy and am passionate about well-being and last year qualified as a yoga instructor.

Although this pregnancy was unplanned and took me and my boyfriend by complete surprise,

Christine

we feel so blessed to be on this journey together and have been excited to meet our beautiful baby from day one. Until now I have always been planning my future moves, carefully selecting my university, course, work experience etc. With a baby on the way my five year plan is out the window, However I am excited for the future and seeing where life will take me next.

I am looking forward to contributing the perspective of a young career focused mum and sharing my wellness tips for a happy healthy pregnancy.

I am now 37 weeks pregnant and bouncing on my birth ball as I type. I am planning a natural water birth at Edgware Birth Centre, but am open to whatever experience comes my way. The team at Edgware have been so supportive and enabling of my pregnancy and my birth choices so far I can not recommend them enough. I am also lucky to have an independent midwife on side as well to support me on my journey and postnatally as I enter motherhood.

Looking forward to sharing my experiences with you! x
